First day for teachers over.,  Today is day two and will be a long one.  Today a long workshop, then open house this evening.  My room isn't ready yet.  Tables are stacked on top of each other and I can't get them down.  Hopefully the janitors took care of that last night so I will just have to arrange them today before parents start coming in to see a beautiful classroom.

18"x24" oil on canvas Blackeyed Susans.  Tax free weekend and I want to stay home away from all of that.  Tried to finish painting my room but moving things around is too hard on my shoulder so icing my shoulder.  Ugg.

11"x14" oil on canvas.  I have roses like this in my backyard.  I love them.I'm getting ready for the next school year.  I want to try some new things with my students this year.  Last school year was difficult with problems with my shoulder that was keeping me from doing some things.  Rotator cuff surgery really stopped me from a lot.  Now I'm still recovering but extremely better so excited about even raising my arm to put student work out in the halls.  I want this school year to be my best.

24"x30" oil on canvas.  This painting is of the "Monet" house at the Dallas Arboretum.  This really takes me to a happy place.  Every time I go to the Arboretum I see something new.  And, everything is always so beautiful.  My paintings are now for sale on Etsy.  For now the name of my shop is ddoyle53.  Havent decided on a better name yet.  Any ideas?

14"x18" oil on canvas.  Summer flowers in my favorite white milk glass vase.
8"x10" oil on canvas,  Peony,  I've been painitng flowers this summer.  Its a nice happy place to be.
16x20 oil on canvas of Hagerman Wildlife Preserve in Grayson County Tx.  Its Hotter thab Hell to today.  Glad I'm indoors right now.
14"x18" oil on canvas.  This may not be the most exciting painting in the shed, but here in north Texas, this is what fields of Bluebonnets look like.
This is in the Hill country outside of Austin.  I like the boulders in the river.  They make this look surreal. Wish I was back there now. This painting is 16"x20".
Another little 8"x!0" oil on canvas.  These little paintings are so fun.  I dont honestly see how so many artists do smaller paintings. These are great in small places between doors.  Very unexpected.
I got very frustrated that my last painting was sideways and I could not figure out to correct it..   Well its time to move on.  Lots of paintings since then and this is one of them.  Rotator cuff surgery in April.  The hard part is over.  I would not want that for anyone.  Still cant do every thing I would like but pain is for the most part gone.  This painting was very fun to do.
