All my paintings are 8x10.  I'm playing with surfaces so some are on stretched canvas, some are on canvas panel and I've done one on hardboard panel.  As you can see there is no theme but I need to do that.  At this point I go around the house and find something that appeals to me.  I've also been working with a very limited palette.  I've enjoyed that except for the painting I attempted of a great peice of cheese cake with raspberry sauce at my neice's house.  I brought white, black and burnt sienna and  ultramarine blue.  Burnt seinna raspberry sauce was horrible.  A learning moment.

beginning blog

I've been daily painting for about a month now and loving it.  I can't imagine how many paintings the long time daily painters have done.  I am enjoying my little collection for now.  I plan to post pics tomorrow, for now I'm investigating blogdom.
